- Chris Joseph, Moderator
As the Special Advisor for Institutional Renewal and Advancement at the International College of the Cayman Islands (ICCI), Chris Joseph is committed to transforming higher education and expanding the FinTech workforce in the Cayman Islands. He spearheads the IT Skills Initiative—a collaborative partnership among ICCI, Enterprise Cayman, the Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants (CIIPA), and Digital Cayman—aimed at developing a skilled workforce for in-demand jobs. He also serves as the Programme Coordinator and Lecturer for the Strategic AI for Financial Services Programme, focusing on the transformative impact of AI technology on jobs, organizations, and industries. Additionally, Chris serves as a Director on the boards of 345 Robotics and Code(Cayman).
- Lucía Gallardo, Panellist
Lucía Gallardo is an award-winning entrepreneur and MIT Innovator under 35. As the Founder & CEO of Emerge, she leads an impact innovation lab focused on the convergence of sustainable development, technological innovation, and financial re-imagination. Lucía co-founded The Æternals to create impact-driven loyalty programs for brands, and Dona un Libro, Cambia una Mente, a non-profit addressing social issues in Central America. Lucía serves as a board member and advisor for several organizations and contributes to policy groups at the World Economic Forum.
- Marilyn Layne, Panellist
Marilyn Layne is the Director of Education & Training, overseeing all aspects of the Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountant’s (CIIPA) learning objectives and educational initiatives. Marilyn, a US Certified Public Accountant, has more than 15 years of experience working in public accounting and the private sector. Before joining CIIPA, Marilyn worked at KPMG where she served as a Director within the Audit Quality and Professional Practice as well as the Head of Audit Learning & Development for the KPMG Islands Group.
- Julian Morris, Panellist
Julian Morris is a Cayman-based economist and policy analyst with 30 years’ experience working with think tanks, businesses, and governments. Julian is a Senior Scholar at the International Center for Law and Economics, a Senior Fellow at Reason Foundation, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, and the author of over 100 scholarly articles. Julian sits on several non-profit boards and advisory boards, including the Decentralized Cooperation Foundation, Cayman’s Acts of Random Kindness, 345 Robotics, and the Cayman Islands Artificial Intelligence Society. Julian has master’s degrees from UCL and Cambridge University and a graduate diploma in Law from the University of Westminster.
- Antonio Simeone, Panellist
Antonio Simeone is the Co-founder and CEO of Stoneprime US, where he oversees AI-driven assessments of 500+ Biotech companies and ensures efficient operations and strategic growth. Antonio is a seasoned entrepreneur with 10+ years in Fintech and AI, focusing on Biotech, Finance, and Energy. He founded Euklid, an AI-driven investment fund, and co-founded Quaternion Technology, which develops trading algorithms for financial managers. Antonio is also a speaker and member of the Future Investment Initiative, and he teaches AI-based investment models at LUISS Guido Carli in Rome.
