- Fiona Brennan, Moderator
Fiona Brennan is a Director at Marfire providing independent directorship services to foundation companies / DAOs, funds, and OpCo’s who have a web3 strategy. In her previous role with the Fintech team at Walkers, she advised on the structuring of numerous foundation companies serving as a legal wrapper for DAOs, series financings for companies in the digital asset space, and digital asset hedge funds. Fiona is a member of the Steering Committee for the Blockchain Association in the Cayman Islands, and a co-founder of Women in Blockchain.
- Carolyn Kelly, Speaker
Carolyn Kelly is an Associate in the Global Investment Funds and Fintech Team at Walkers. Carolyn advises on a wide range of private equity and hedge fund matters, with expertise in general corporate and M&A transactions. Carolyn regularly acts for major investment banks, investment managers, private equity houses and other financial institutions along with their onshore counsel. In her previous role at Clyde & Co LLP, Carolyn worked in the corporate department focusing on cross border mergers and acquisitions, funds, private equity and joint ventures matters.

Joshua McVey is a member of the Digital Assets, Investment Funds, Corporate, and Regulatory teams at Harneys in the Cayman Islands. Josh has deep multi-jurisdictional experience and expertise in advising blockchain, fintech, and virtual assets projects from early-stage ventures to some of the world’s pre-eminent projects and platforms. Josh is an active contributor to digital asset communities in the Cayman Islands and has established himself as a trusted advisor to clients through his innovative approach to solving complex client problems.
- Tom Stuart, Speaker
Tom Stuart is an Associate at Carey Olsen, working across both the Litigation and Digital Assets teams. With a strong foundation in commercial litigation, as well as a deep understanding of emerging blockchain technologies, Tom has developed a niche advising clients in the De-Fi sector. His practice spans securities investment regulations, the Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) regime, contentious investigations, stakeholder disputes, and insolvencies. Tom also helps clients navigate internal crises, project launches and data breaches. Tom offers a unique perspective on decentralised technologies and crypto regulation, informed by his prior experience as a prosecutor of financial crime in New Zealand.
