Brava by ATN International is seeking a Bid Manager to join their Business Development team.
The Bid Manager will play a pivotal role in developing and managing the bid process from start to finish, ensuring alignment with company objectives and maximizing the chances of winning competitive tenders. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop compelling proposals that directly address customer needs and clearly demonstrate Brava’s value proposition. As the Bid Manager you will be at the heart of our growth strategy, helping to shape and win bids that drive our business forward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze tender documentation, understand customer requirements, and develop comprehensive bid plans that address all evaluation criteria.
- Lead the creation of winning bid strategies by gathering insights from the business development team, technical experts, and external stakeholders.
- Facilitate bid review meetings, progress updates, and feedback sessions.
- Own and manage the end-to-end proposal process, including drafting, editing, and submitting high-quality bids within deadlines. This includes post-submission revisions or compliance review to meet changing expectations.
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, presales, legal, finance, etc.) to gather relevant input for proposals.
- Ensure the bid aligns with the customer’s requirements and the company’s strategic goals and effectively communicates our value proposition.
- Coordinate with the Head of Business Development to ensure bids are prioritized based on potential impact and strategic importance.
- Facilitate meetings with key stakeholders to ensure timely inputs and approvals at each stage of the bid process.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with bids, ensuring compliance with all legal, financial, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments for each bid and coordinate with internal teams to address any identified risks.
- Ensure all required governance processes are followed with commercial objectives are the forefront.
- Monitor regional procurement platforms and establish relationships with agencies to track new RFP releases. Conduct research on market trends, competitors, and client expectations to inform the development of competitive bids.
- Stay updated on industry standards, emerging technologies, and government procurement policies to influence bid strategies.
- Lead post-bid analysis, documenting feedback and lessons learned for continuous improvement concluding with a debrief report on all successful and unsuccessful bids.
- Develop insights to improve bid win rates and track/report win/loss ratios on a monthly or quarterly basis.
- Support the sales team in client engagement activities, including bid presentations and clarifications during the bidding process.
- Build strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and expectations for future opportunities.
Knowledge, Experience & Desired Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, sales, or a related field.
- PMP certification (Association of Proposal Management Professionals) or other relevant bid management certifications.
- Minimum of five (5) or more years of experience in bid management, proposal development, or a similar role within the ICT/Tech, Managed Services, or Government sectors.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex bids and winning high-value contracts in competitive environments.
- Strong understanding of government procurement processes and tendering procedures.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in crafting compelling proposals.
- Willingness to travel as needed to engage with the teams and meet with customers in various markets.
- Experience working in Enterprise or Government sales teams, with a solid understanding of both sectors.
- Proficiency with CRM and bid management tools (e.g., Salesforce, MS Project, or similar platforms).
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
- Collaborative approach with excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Critical thinking and ability to develop innovative solutions to meet client needs.
- High degree of adaptability and a proactive, results-driven mindset.
